Elcano Day in Basque Country

Just like people, animals or ideas are constantly being born, holidays are, too! The Basque Country, an autonomous region in Spain, is going to add Elcano Day to its list of recognized holidays in 2022. Which day will it be? September 6, which coincides with the 500th anniversary of the first circumnavigation of Earth led by explorer Juan Sebastián Elcano. Do you know all about the life of this historic figure?
